Grapesyard School (Alice for School Project)

new look Kindergaten school (1)Grapesyard Organization started a school in 1999 with a pupil population of only 30 children. Due to God’s grace and the support we have continued to receive from our well wishers, the school have seen tremendous growth and is currently able to touch the lives of at least 800 children daily in the slums of Korogocho. Of 800 children, 600 of are orphans who have lost their parents as a result of the dreaded killer virus – HIV/AIDS. It is sad to note that 21% of the entire children population in Korogocho slums is directly affected by HIV  and AIDS.

Since 1996, Grapesyard Organization have partnered with Twins International to address the social issues affecting the children in Grapesyard School. In this partnership, we have managed to address the feeding program and the child sponsorship program. We have also managed to extend support to the needy families of Korogocho slums through our home based programs.

Despite our efforts to support as many children as possible, Grapesyard is only able to provide sponsorship to only 200 children at Grapesyard school, leaving over 500 children vulnerable children that are in need of sponsorship program. It is due to financial constraints that we are unable to provide sponsorship to the rest of the kids.

Its not only in the sponsorship program that we have financial difficulties in catering for all of the children. We also have a big challenge in the feeding program where we are having difficulty in providing a well balanced diet to and food supplements to our kids living positively. We therefore appeal to well wishers to come to our aid to help us provide adequate support to these our beloved children.
